Wayzata, MN – Rising soccer talent Ares Amani has been invited to attend the exclusive La Liga Academy Showcase in Madrid, Spain, in May 2025. Ares, a standout athlete from Wayzata High School, was scouted at a national event and earned a spot among the top 1% of U.S. soccer players chosen for this prestigious program.
La Liga Academy Showcase
The La Liga Academy Showcase allows elite players to train at the world-renowned facilities of Real Madrid City in Valdebebas and the Atlético de Madrid Headquarters in Alcalá de Henares. Ares will work under the guidance of official La Liga coaches, scrimmage against La Liga Academy teams, and immerse himself in an international soccer environment designed to push the boundaries of his performance.
This opportunity comes after Ares’s inspiring journey of perseverance. Before the Wayzata High School soccer season, he suffered a severe fracture in his right leg, forcing him to miss half the club season. Thanks to the unwavering support of Wayzata High School soccer coach, Mr. Junker, Ares was given the time and space to heal, regain his endurance, and rebuild his confidence on the pitch. His resilience culminated in a phenomenal high school season, scoring 21 goals, and he has since continued his recovery to become the leading scorer for his club team.
As part of his Madrid experience, Ares will also have the opportunity to stay at ESC Madrid, a state-of-the-art facility created in partnership with La Liga, the NBA, and T3N Sport & Investment. This elite complex is designed to promote both academic and athletic excellence, further solidifying the high-performance environment in which Ares will train.
Ares will also take part in a VIP tour of the historic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, walking the same pathway as global soccer stars Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, and Vinícius Jr. He will experience the 80,000+ seat stadium, explore the locker rooms, and witness firsthand the club’s legendary thirty-three La Liga titles and thirteen Champions League trophies, including the historic three consecutive Champions League victories.
