Save The University of Minnesota Men's Gymnastics Program

Ares and Shane Olympic Autograph Signing

Help Save University of Minnesota Men’s Gymnastics Program!

This is US Olympian, Shane Wiskus. He is my inspiration. He is a great gymnast, a good student, and a gentleman. I have had the honor of meeting him twice and seeing him compete at the University of Minnesota (before that program was wrongly canceled). He and his teammates are excellent examples of champions, deserve better, and I want to help!

I have supported the effort to bring the U of M program back, but I feel we can do so much more with NFTs.

I have created just ten (10) NFTs of this inspirational moment with Shane at an autograph signing after his return from the Olympic Games. This was a great moment for me! I share it to see if the power and potential of NFTs can help raise funds to help our Olympians.

Proceeds will be donated to Shane and the effort to provide a new home for the gymnasts displaced by the cancelation of the University of Minnesota Men’s Gymnastics Program!

Please purchase a NFT, or follow the links below to help!

Help Save The Program!

With the State of Minnesota having a $7.7 billion budget surplus, the university is asking for $936 million in funding. Meanwhile the elimination of the three programs saves less than $2 million out of a $125 million athletic budget. Many student athletes and the public are questioning these administrative decisions.

The Senate Higher Education Finance Policy Committee Scheduled a Hybrid Public Hearing and Discussion Concerning the University of Minnesota Sports Cuts to Programs.

Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the State Capitol G-3 Capitol & Livestream

The Minnesota Athletic Alliance is hoping for a reversal of the decision as schools like William and Mary, Stanford, and the University of California Berkeley have done. After February 15, Tuesday, 2022 public hearing, we need your support to EMAIL senators who serve in the Higher Education Finance Policy Committee. Please email them your concern.

Shane is Awesome!

We Need Our Role Models!

Please Understand

Shane and his teammates are true examples for a new generation of gymnasts. Their value to us may not be as visible to the general public, but they motivate the next wave of kids like me to be their best and maybe one day represent Team USA.

In the media today there are so many horrible examples of behavior that my peers and I are subjected to. Shane and his teammates from the University of Minnesota are true examples of champions of character. Please don’t let that example fade away. It isn’t right. We need our role models!
